Meet Our Designer

Dilayla Kopuz is the founder and designer of the brand.

Her design journey began at the age of seven, when she would sit at home watching fashion shows on television and sketching her own garments. Following surgery at the age of fifteen, she came to realise the importance of living life with comfort, confidence, and freedom—values that continue to shape her approach to design.

“I choose to create garments that allow the people who wear them to be their most authentic selves and that respond to the needs of the body. Clothing should not be about forcing the body to fit the garment.”

Dilayla is a graduate of the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom and also holds a degree from Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London. She describes her personal style as a blend of Istanbul and London.

In 2022, she was selected as a top 10 finalist at the Green Business Awards, organised by KAGİDER x Yuvam Dünya. In January 2023, she was also chosen as one of 27 women entrepreneurs to participate in the Good Business Programme, organised by *KAGİDER x Boyner Group.

  • Our Design Vision

Our intention is to create an environmentally conscious sense of freedom through fashion. We strive to design timeless pieces made to be worn for years, challenging the culture of overconsumption and overproduction that harms our planet.

At [IM]perfectionists, we design in limited editions rather than traditional collections or seasonal drops, with the aim of reducing waste and excessive consumption.

Innovation is central to our vision, and we continue to explore the field of digital fashion. To date, we are proud to have collaborated with two talented digital fashion illustrators—Emily Switzer, winner of The Digital Illustration Award, and Gülistan Kavvasoğlu. Through these collaborations, we have created three-dimensional visualisations of our sweatshirt, both as still imagery and on a moving avatar model.
